You remember it from that look they gave you,
That disappointment reinforcing you to your box.
Often times the one you would ride down the staircase,
the bump of each step hurt a little bit it was safer than being with them.
Nobody looks you in the eye anymore,
at age three you broke their trust... at age five it still remains in pieces,
but we have every intention of fixing it... tomorrow,
or the next day.
Maybe you can't belong, you've been nothing but honest.
Maybe they can only trust you when they shouldn't.
It's all apart of the silly human desire to consume every bit of tragedy.
To destroy something honest in true in their eyes, in their hearts...
I am not meant for this world.
I have too much love...
and nobody can comprehend that for some reason.
So I'm turning my box into a rocket ship, and I'm not coming back.

i don't think you should be confined to any such box... yet the last line is so hopeful. and i love it. because it's like...you've made yourself untouchable. maybe to the extent where you have cut off yourself from the rest of the world. maybe to the point of no return. but maybe not. i don't think i can believe that you are untouchable because i see you in both elements. when you are in your rocket ship.....but sometimes i think i still see you in your box. but i think sometimes that box becomes a safe haven. and maybe i have it all wrong. maybe i'm getting my boxes and rocketships all mixed up. can't you just take your box on the rocketship with you? isn't what other people make of you still a part of you somehow?? Whether or not it is right or wrong? the good or the bad? can't you have a box that enhances your rocketship? why is it a bad thing to sometimes be stuck in a box? can't it be a place where you can go when you need a place that is constant?
i guess i'm just putting my thoughts down for you. cause if you open up your mind to the world, the least i can to is open up mine a little. even if it doesn't make sense. that's probably because it's a lot of questions... that's a good thing though. i like that you make me think jake, and question the world.
so thanks for sharing it all...on this blog... or just whenever =)
i think it's really awesome actually.
